Our garden was reconstructed in between 2014 and 2016 to maximise the wonderful views over the Tweed, Castle and Royal Border Bridge. South facing, it is a sun trap but also subject to the south westerly blasts coming down the river. We have found out the hard way which plants like those conditions!
